- 해방 이전 한국문학의 일본어 번역에 관한 연구 - ‘번역서지 목록’ 작성을 중심으로 - -
이 연구는 1882년부터 1945년까지 일본어로 번역된 한국문학에 대한 현황을 고찰하기 위 해 ‘해방 이전 한국문학의 일본어 번역서지 목록 1882~1945’를 작성하는 것을 목적으로 한 다. 해방 이전에 일본어로 번역된 한국문학으로는 전체 510편(중복 번역 작품 포함)이 있다. 장르별로는 고전문학 72편, 시 336편, 소설 95편, 희곡 6편, 수필 1편이었다. 번역은 일본인과 한국인이 했고, 출판은 일본과 한국에서 이루어졌다. 시기 구분은 1882년부터 3.1운동이 있었 던 1919년까지를 제1시기, 식민지배가 문화통치로 바뀌는 무렵인 1920년부터 중일전쟁 발발 직전인 1936년까지는 제2시기, 1937년부터 1945년 해방까지는 제3시기로 해서 살폈는데, 제1 시기에는 고전문학이 집중적으로 번역되었고, 제2시기에 소설이 일본에 번역 소개되기 시작 하였고, 제3시기에는 시가 집중적으로 번역되었다. 추후 ‘번역서지 목록’을 바탕으로 ‘일본어 창작’과 다른 관점에서 한국문학과 일본어의 관련성을 다각적으로 접근해야 한다.
A Study on the Japanese Translation of Korean Literature Before 1945
The purpose of this research is to write the ‘Bibliography of the Japanese Translation of Korean Literature before the Korean Liberation from 1882 to 1945’ to analyze the current status of Korean literature that were translated into the Japanese language from 1882 to 1945. There are currently 510 works (includes overlapping translations) of Korean literature translated into Japanese before the Liberation. In terms of genre, there are 72 classical literary works, 336 poems, 95 novels, 6 dramas, and 1 essay. Translations were conducted by both Koreans and Japanese and published both in Korea and Japan. Periods were divided into Period 1 from 1881 to 1919 when the March First Movement erupted, Period 2 from 1920 when the policy of colonial occupation changed into the cultural rule to 1936 right before the Japanese invasion of Manchuria, and Period 3 from 1934 to the Liberation in 1945. Classical literature was mainly translated during Period 1, Korean novels were translated and introduced to Japan during Period 2 and poems were mainly translated during Period 3.
