『Zenichidozin(全一道人)』(1729) is a study book of Korean, written by Amenomori- Hoshu(雨森芳洲), who have made great achievements in the 18th century diplomacy with Chosun and Korean education. 『Zenichidozin(全一道人)』 is a bilingual book made of Korean and Japanese translation of 『Kwonzingkosa(勧懲故事)』 written in Chinese literature. This paper focuses on the fact that Hoshu(芳洲) translated <繼妻> to <継母>, and <遣> to <逐出> in the Japanese sections to examine his translating style and linguistic features from various angles. In the process of the analysis, this study also explores the linguistic relationship between Hoshu(芳 洲) and AsaiRyoi(浅井了意), who translated and published 『Samganghaengsildo(三綱行實圖)』, that was issued by King Sejong's order. An abstract of the result is as follows. The Japanese parts of 『Zenichidozin(全一道人)』 actively employ vocabularies that are comprehensible to the Japanese people living in the period of publication. Although selection of words that differs from Chinese literature is generally an internal problem of Japanese translation, we have confirmed the possibility that Korean translation have affected it in the process of its Japanese translation. This signifies the Japanese sections of 『Zenichidozin(全一道人)』 has dual characteristics. Also, there was an additional achievement of identifying that the use of <たまわ る> assumed a transitional chaos around the 18th century. The significance of this research consists in verifying the applicability of 『Zenichidozin(全一道 人)』 as a reference for translations, and providing suggestions of the research scope and methods for related studies.
